TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF USE
The following are the terms and conditions for
use of the system by teachers and schools. If you do not agree to
these terms and conditions you should either refrain from
registering on the system or if you have already done so, contact
Relief Teachers to have your details removed from the system.
1. All users agree that they are participating
on a voluntary basis and in doing so agree to their participation on
these terms and conditions.
2. All parties (including Relief Teachers) agree
to take all reasonable precautions to safeguard the integrity of the
information and the privacy of the information held on the system by
ensuring that user identification names, account names, passwords
and personal identification numbers are kept in secure locations and
that all persons using their access privileges or accounts are aware
of these terms and conditions.
3. All parties (including Relief Teachers) agree
to use the system in a responsible manner and to not use the system
to do anything that contravenes any State or Commonwealth law.
4. Relief Teachers will ensure that the
information is as up to date as possible by processing any
registrations as soon as practicable after receipt by Relief
Teachers and ensuring that the system is maintained in a stable and
accurate manner as possible subject to provision of all necessary
services by third party entities engaged by Relief Teachers.
5. Schools should ensure that they have
appropriate back up procedures in place In the event of being unable
to access the Internet. Appropriate measures may include a regular
print out of the pool of teachers who have nominated the school.
6. Schools participating agree to take all
reasonable steps to keep the information up to date and in
particular to ensure that teachers who are engaged for work or
rejected for work are recorded on the system as such.
7. Schools and teachers indemnify Relief
Teachers against any claims for any injuries or losses incurred by
teachers, schools or other persons as a result of using the system.
8. Schools and teachers understand and accept
that Relief Teachers accepts no responsibility for the accuracy of
the information provided by other parties and stored on the system.
9. In relation to registration of teachers with
the Board of Teachers Registration (BTR) and any other approvals
required by Commonwealth, State or Controlling bodies, schools
understand and accept that it is their responsibility to check and
be satisfied as to the authenticity of any registration or other
details held on the system.
10. Teachers agree to provide accurate
information and to keep their details including availability and
preferences up to date either by phone, Internet or through contact
with Relief Teachers support.
11. Teachers guarantee that the information
provided is true and that they are currently registered with the
relevant registration board and or other authorities as required by
the Commonwealth or State laws.
12. Schools agree to pay the charges as
specified in the School Details section of the Relief Teachers’ web
site within 14 days of receipt of an invoice.
13. Relief Teachers reserve the right to remove
a teacher or school from the database if they fail to keep
information on the system up to date or they are in breach of these
terms and conditions.
14. Relief Teachers reserve the right to vary
these terms and conditions with one month’s notice by posting of the
revised Terms and Conditions on the web site.
