Bayside News

Bayside TRS Management Service (based out of Birkdale South State School) commenced using the system last year to manage District Relief Teachers and supply teachers for 10 schools in the Bayside region in Brisbane.

Schools using this service retain all of the benefits of a personalised, full service call centre, as well as having access to the Relief Teacher system via a PC, PDA, or mobile phone to make their bookings direct and to check on absentees and placements.

Additional supply teachers are required for Bayside schools. Teachers wishing to register may do so by calling Birkdale South State School on Ph: 3820 4333, the Program Manager Donna on 0457 506 096, or registering online to the left of this page.

Townsville News

The flexibility, autonomy and ability to provide localised services using clusters seems to be an attractive option for Townsville schools as they choose to come on board with ITOnline’s Relief Teachers Management System.

A total of 21 schools within the Townsville District are now using the system. Most of those schools also use a localised call centre service which is run out of Heatley State School. In addition, the Townsville District Office has access to the system to search on the availability of supply teachers for contracts.

To be eligible to do supply teaching in a Townsville state school all teachers must be registered with Education Qld - Click here - Supply Registration Link For any queries please contact Education Qld on 4726 3111 - ask for Lisa Mitchell. Once you have sent in your form you will then receive a written notification of registration accordingly. When you enter your details with Reliefteachers, the system checks your information with Townsville District Office and when verified, you will be put on the call up list for your nominated state schools. Please understand this process takes at least 24 hours.

Why use Relief Teachers?

Queensland schools are continuing to look for more cost effective solutions to support the management of supply teachers rather than give away control of choosing their supply staff to the Department call centre. At $30 per year (inclusive of GST) per permanent FTE , schools will find that the Relief Teachers Management System is less than half the price of the Department call centre. For instance, a school with 20 classes would pay as low as $150 per term to use Relief Teachers irrespective of how many bookings they make.

What's more the Relief Teacher Management System gives schools the following features:

  • Real-time access to teacher availability
  • Teachers can update their details 24 by 7
  • Flexibility of implementation using multiple clusters, self-service, or a mixture of both
  • Booking teachers with your mobile phone

Schools interested in joining should contact ITOnline at admin@itonline.com.au or on Ph: 3102 4431.
